Piano is one of the most famous musical instruments prevailing from the olden days. It is a form of keyboard instruments mainly used to produce western music though other forms of music can also be composed. Most of the musicians mainly make use of this instrument for their compostions. Its so huge and is not portable hence expensive, still the usage of piano is high. The key press in a piano make the steel strings to vibrate which in turn vibrates at the resonant frequency producing the musical sound. The outer cover of the piano is made of wood, the strings in steel and it also makes use of iron frames. There are totally 88 keys in a piano of which 36 are black and 52 white. The two basic types of modern piano are grand piano and upright piano. The main difference between grand piano and upright piano is that in grand piano the string and frames are horizontal whereas in upright piano they are vertical. But both these pianos are commonly used based on the needs. Piano appears to be difficult to learn but once familiarised this is the easiest instrument one can use with. Piano needs a regular maintenance to retain the pitch level.
